SC Cleared - Test Engineer (Permanent or Contract)

AgileSource Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our growing delivery team. We are looking for an individual who can contribute immediately to the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions within fast-paced Agile environments.

Contract Rate: £350.00 P.D (Inside IR35)

Permanent Salary: £45,000 - £65,000

This opportunity is available on either a permanent or contract basis and would suit a proactive testing professional with a strong background in both manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, system and regression testing across complex software solutions.
• Identify, document and track defects, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks and automated test suites.
• Conduct API testing to validate system integrations and service functionality.
• Create and maintain test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, refinement and retrospectives.
• Promote quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Proven experience across:
• Functional Testing
• Integration Testing
• System Testing
• Regression Testing
• Experience creating and executing detailed test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Strong API testing experience.
• Scripting experience for test automation and validation activities.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to cloud-based environments.
• Knowledge of performance or non-functional testing.
• Relevant testing certifications (ISTQB or equivalent).
