Job Title: DevOps Consultant
Location: Hybrid - Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

Overview:

Our client is seeking a DevOps Consultant to join its team delivering user-centred solutions for clients in government and regulated sectors. This is a hands-on, collaborative role focused on automation, simplicity, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead incident response, triage, and stakeholder communication during outages
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery
• Collaborate with clients to understand their environments and tooling
• Contribute to internal DevOps communities and knowledge sharing
• Champion best practices in automation, cloud-native engineering, and agile delivery
• Deliver services in line with UK Government Digital Service (GDS) standards

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in DevOps engineering and automation
• Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with delivering services to GDS standards
• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Active SC Clearance is required
