SC Cleared - Azure DevOps Engineer - Contract/Inside IR35 - £450.00 P.D

AgileSource are looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer for a 3 month contract.

We re looking for a Azure DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud and Platform Engineering team, playing a key role in the design, implementation, and optimisation of Azure-based infrastructure and DevOps practices across a portfolio of large-scale transformation programmes.

This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who thrives in modern cloud environments and is passionate about building reliable, secure, and scalable platforms. you'll bring deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tooling, alongside a strong commitment to delivery excellence and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates

• Lead the development and ongoing improvement of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, enabling high-velocity and reliable application delivery

• Work closely with cross-functional delivery teams to align infrastructure, security, and application deployment strategies

• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within cloud environments and DevOps pipelines to ensure platform stability and performance

• Champion DevOps best practices including version control, automated testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement

• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation covering infrastructure components, build and release processes, and operational procedures

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the wider engineering community

• Ensure platforms and solutions comply with enterprise security, architecture, and governance standards

What we re looking forTechnical skills

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, identity, and monitoring services

• Proven experience with Azure DevOps, particularly Pipelines, Repos, and environment management

• Advanced experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or ARM templates)

• Strong Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python

• Solid understanding of Git and collaborative source control practices

• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and Kubernetes/AKS is desirable

Experience

• At least 3 years experience in a DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation role

• Demonstrable experience delivering solutions in Agile and DevSecOps environments

• Proven ability to design, support, and enhance secure cloud platforms in enterprise or regulated settings

Certifications (desirable)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
