AI Delivery | AI Transformation | Automation and Agents | Workforce Enablement | Remote-first, UK

Join The AI Core to help deliver the next generation of AI-enabled enterprise transformation.

We work with ambitious organisations to move AI adoption from experimentation to execution: redesigning real workflows, building practical automations and agents, and helping teams become genuinely AI-capable.

We are now looking for an exceptional Graduate AI Consultant who has already gone beyond coursework and started building with AI.

You might have created an agent, automated a painful process, launched an AI product, contributed to an open-source project, built tools for a student society or experimented obsessively with new models and frameworks. It does not need to have been built inside a large company. What matters is that you are curious, technically capable and able to show what you made, why you made it and what you learned.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to become outstanding at applied AI, consulting and enterprise transformation.

Alongside learning from experienced consultants, you will help redesign workflows, build working automations with client teams, support learners and turn fast-moving AI capabilities into practical business value.

We are looking for someone who can build, learn, explain and bring people with them. A strong academic record without evidence of practical experimentation will not be enough. Neither will enthusiasm for AI without the ability to turn ideas into something that works.

What you'll do:

  • You will support the delivery of hands-on AI transformation programmes across client cohorts and accounts.
  • You will work with experienced consultants to understand real client problems and redesign workflows around AI.
  • You will prototype and build automations, agents and AI-enabled processes alongside client teams.
  • You will test models, tools and approaches to identify what is genuinely useful, reliable and appropriate for a client environment.
  • You will support practical workshops and hands-on sessions for both technical and non-technical users.
  • You will coach learners through projects, helping them overcome technical blockers and build confidence using AI in their work.
  • You will document what has been built so clients can understand, operate and extend it themselves.
  • You will help measure progress across learner capability, workflow adoption, time saved, quality improvements and business outcomes.
  • You will contribute new experiments, reusable components and delivery methods to The AI Core’s internal Centre of Excellence.
  • You will stay current on frontier AI models, agent frameworks, automation platforms and emerging techniques, bringing the most useful developments into client delivery.

What Success Looks Like:

  • You quickly develop from a high-potential graduate into a credible, client-facing AI consultant.
  • You build useful automations and agents that solve real problems rather than simply demonstrating new technology.
  • Client teams can understand, use and extend what you have helped create.
  • Learners leave sessions more confident and capable than when they started.
  • You can take an unclear business problem, break it down and help turn it into a practical AI-enabled workflow.
  • Your work is reliable, well documented and designed with security, maintainability and adoption in mind.
  • You contribute ideas, experiments and reusable assets that improve how the wider team delivers.
  • You become someone clients and colleagues trust to get hands-on, learn quickly and follow through.

You'll be a strong fit if you have:

  • Evidence of AI products, automations, agents or workflows you have personally built.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, APIs, prompt design, structured outputs, retrieval, tool use or agentic workflows.
  • The ability to write code and connect systems together. Python or JavaScript experience would be particularly useful.
  • Experience experimenting with tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, LangChain, LlamaIndex, n8n, Make, Zapier or similar platforms.
  • A strong understanding of what LLMs can and cannot do, including reliability, hallucination, evaluation and data-security considerations.
  • The ability to explain technical ideas clearly without hiding behind jargon.
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and a desire to understand the real problem before reaching for a tool.
  • Confidence communicating with different kinds of people, from technical specialists to colleagues who may be using AI for the first time.
  • A bias towards building, testing and iterating rather than endlessly discussing possibilities.
  • High standards, intellectual curiosity and the willingness to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment.
  • The humility to ask good questions, accept feedback and change your approach when the evidence points elsewhere.

Strong backgrounds include:

  • Computer science, software engineering or data science
  • Artificial intelligence, machine learning or robotics
  • Mathematics, physics or another highly quantitative discipline
  • Engineering or computational science
  • Business, economics or another discipline paired with strong technical project work
  • Hackathons, startup projects or university innovation programmes
  • Open-source contributions or independent software projects
  • Student consulting, tutoring, mentoring or society leadership
  • Internships involving AI, automation, software, data or digital transformation
  • We care less about the exact title of your degree than the quality of your thinking and the evidence that you have been building.

Compensation:

  • Competitive graduate base
  • Performance upside linked to contribution, client outcomes and progression
  • Remote-first working
  • Pension
  • Laptop
  • Structured development and close mentorship from experienced AI consultants
  • Rapid progression based on capability and impact rather than time served
  • High ownership in a fast-moving AI transformation market

Why join:

AI adoption is moving from experimentation to execution. Employers no longer need generic AI awareness; they need governance, workflow redesign, working automations, practical adoption and measurable workforce capability.

For an ambitious graduate, this is an opportunity to start your career at the centre of that shift.

You will not spend your first year watching from the sidelines or producing presentations about work other people will deliver. You will work on real client problems, build real AI-enabled solutions and develop across technology, consulting, communication and commercial impact.

You will be surrounded by people who are actively testing what is newly possible and turning it into ways of working that improve productivity, quality, capacity and growth.

Hiring process:

As part of the process, we will ask you to show us something you have actually built.

This could be an automation, agent, AI-enabled workflow, product, prototype, open-source contribution or personal project. We will ask you to demonstrate it and talk us through the problem, your approach, the tools you chose, the trade-offs you made and what you would improve next.

We will also ask you to explain a technical AI concept to both a non-technical stakeholder and a technical audience.

We are not looking for a polished enterprise product or years of commercial experience. We are looking for evidence that you are already experimenting, building and learning at an unusually high level.
