Technical Support Technician

*About us*

AiR is a Value Added Reseller (VAR) of Auto ID (Automatic Identification) products and services to a wide variety of market sectors including food production, automotive, clothing and logistics.

Due to expansion, AiR is seeking to recruit a Technical Support Technician, to provide in-house and on-site, with customer, technical services and support allied to the company's label printing systems, . Some experience in the repairing and servicing of electro/mechanical equipment would be desirable. Experience of repairing thermal label printers would be preferable, but not essential, as full training training is provided. What is essential is that you have the desire to find solutions, solving customer technical issues and have the tenacity to get the job done. Salary offered is dependant on experience.

*Some examples of specific responsibilities and duties are:*

* Identifying and rectifying faults on devices with minimal supervision after training, both in-house and onsite, or via telephone or remote systems support.
* Delivering and installing printers at customer sites, adhering to timescales.
* Supporting the sales team with pre and post sales activities.
* Performing pre-sales testing / trials.
* Ensure Health & Safety regulations are complied with at all times, along with company working practices.
* Printing of labels where required. Familiarisation with market leading label design and printing software. Complete training modules when required and provide application support (after training) when needed.

*Essential attributes:*

* Some experience in electronic and electro / mechanical repairs.
* Good working knowledge of network infrastructures and wireless communications
* Team player, with a helpful, positive, calm and methodical approach.
* Ability to organise work priorities.
* Work safe with minimum supervision.
* Ability to escalate unresolved issues.
* Customer focused approach.
* Full Valid Driving License (own means of transport due to office location)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
