Job Title: KDB Developer

Duration: Initial 1 year contract

Workload: Full time hours

Setup: Contract inside ir35 through umbrella

Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite weekly

Join our client's global trading technology team to build and optimise a high-performance kdb+ data platform supporting algorithmic and market data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable kdb+ solutions for global trading teams.
• Develop low-latency systems for market data capture and analytics.
• Collaborate with quant teams, business sponsors, and tech stakeholders.
• Contribute to the technical direction of the kdb+ product suite.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust software designs.

Must-Have Skills:

• Extensive experience with kdb+/q and large-scale system design.
• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and modern development practices.
• Unix/Linux development experience.
• Core Java development skills.
• Expertise in low-latency systems and tick data capture.

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with market data and algorithmic trading environments.
• Experience with financial instruments such as Equities, Futures, Options, and FX.
