Business Development Executive
Business Development Executive - Financial Services & Insurance
Join a top digital consultancy that offers hybrid work throughout the UK, a competitive base salary, and unlimited on-target earnings.
I’m working with a global digital consultancy that partners with some of the world’s most respected brands. They are expanding their Financial Services and Insurance practice and are looking for someone who can truly move it ahead.
The Role
If you enjoy finding new opportunities, building senior relationships from the ground up, and turning market insights into real business, this role puts you at the centre of their FSI growth. You’ll work with experts in strategy, design, data, and engineering, bringing the right people together for the right opportunities at the right time.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and develop new opportunities across banking, insurance, fintech, and professional services
- Build and execute targeted prospecting plans with clear stakeholder mapping and structured outreach
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior leaders - and be able to articulate exactly how you get in the room in the first place
- Qualify opportunities rigorously - you’ll know your criteria, your red flags, and when to walk away
- Translate client challenges, market trends, and regulatory shifts into compelling value propositions
- Convert insights into action - whether that means bringing in an SME, validating alignment, or defining a clear next commercial step
- Represent the consultancy at industry events and forums - and have a clear plan for how those relationships become pipeline
- Collaborate with Bid Management and cross-functional teams to shape winning proposals
Sales cycles usually last 5 to 6 months, with deals ranging from the high six figures to the mid seven figures. You’ll need stamina, strong business sense, and the ability to keep things moving over long sales cycles—not just starting conversations, but also closing them.
What You’ll Need
- A strong track record in business development within digital or tech consultancy - with specific examples of net new logos, not just account growth
- Proven ability to meet with C-suite and senior leaders, along with a clear approach for how you make those connections
- Experience building a pipeline from scratch - prospecting plans, outreach cadences, and structured qualification
- Commercial acumen across deal structuring, value proposition development, and negotiation
- You have a talent for finding and winning new business. You’re proactive, persistent, and think strategically.
- Financial Services experience is beneficial, though not essential
The Environment
You’ll join a small, collaborative team with real autonomy. The company offers a global platform but keeps a boutique feel. Bid Management and a specialist team will support you, so you can focus on what you do best: finding and winning new business.
The Package
Strong base salary, uncapped OTE, and a commission structure weighted toward new business. Hybrid working with offices across the UK.
