Principal Robotics Architect

We are supporting a cutting-edge deep-tech company who are seeking a Principal Robotics Architect to help shape the next generation of intelligent laboratory robots.

You’ll lead the design of a robust hardware abstraction layer and distributed control systems, bridging hardware, embedded software, and cloud infrastructure. Your work will enable robotic platforms to operate safely, reliably, and at scale.

What you’ll do:

• Architect edge/cloud systems for autonomous robotic fleets
• Build edge-first safety and control systems
• Develop digital twin and simulation frameworks
• Mentor engineers and define long-term technical strategy

What we’re looking for:

• 8+ years in embedded C/C++ in safety-critical domains
• Experience with robotics middleware (ROS2/DDS)
• Strong distributed systems skills (Python, Docker, gRPC, message buses)
• Collaborative leader with excellent architectural judgment
