Location: Warwickshire / Hybrid (1 day per week onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Initial Contract
Rate: £450-£550 per day Inside IR35
The Role
We're supporting a leading Insurance client who are seeking an experienced Data Product Analyst / SQL Consultant to join a growing data team responsible for delivering enterprise-wide data products and data quality initiatives.
This is a highly collaborative role, sitting between business stakeholders and Data Engineering teams, helping to ensure the successful delivery, governance and ongoing integrity of critical data products.
The successful candidate will play a key role in data testing, data quality assurance, metadata management and stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for supporting new data product releases, investigating incidents and UAT defects, maintaining product documentation and helping to implement scalable SQL-based monitoring and integrity controls across the wider data marketplace environment.
Essential Experience
- Strong experience working as a Data Analyst, Data Product Analyst or Data Quality Analyst
- Advanced SQL skills, including queries, joins, aggregations and data validation scripting
- Strong data testing and UAT experience
- Experience investigating data quality issues and incidents alongside Data Engineering teams
- Knowledge of data modelling and database design principles
- Experience using Azure DevOps
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience supporting governance, testing checkpoints and release activities
Desirable Experience
- Insurance sector experience
- Experience with Collibra or similar metadata management tools
- Power BI experience
- Understanding of data governance and data lineage concepts
- Experience creating release documentation, communications and user guidance
- Exposure to Data Product or Data Marketplace environments
- ADO backlog management and prioritisation experience
