Scope

The Digital Practice has experienced significant growth over the past two years and is continuing to expand its Enterprise Platforms capability. This role will play a key part in supporting the practice's growth by contributing to opportunity shaping, bid activities, client engagement, solution design, and successful programme delivery. Working across enterprise technology environments, with SAP as a key focus area, the Enterprise Platform Lead will help clients deliver complex business transformation initiatives while supporting the development of Akkodis' people, capabilities, and service offerings.

Role

The Enterprise Platform & Low-Code Engineering Lead is accountable for the technical leadership, people management, standards and quality of enterprise platforms and low-code engineering, including Pega, Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, as well as enterprise integration platforms and services supporting system-to-system and SaaS integrations.

The role leads a diverse team of enterprise platform and integration specialists, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, resilient and engineered to enterprise standards for regulated and mission-critical environments.

This is a technical and people leadership role, combining capability management, architecture, governance and technical assurance across enterprise platforms and integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a diverse team of enterprise platform, low-code and integration specialists, including Pega System Architects and engineers working across platforms such as Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Act as the technical authority for the practice, providing leadership and guidance across enterprise platforms, low-code solutions and integrations
  • Define and enforce engineering and solution design standards, including configuration vs custom development, reuse, environment segregation, versioning, documentation and integration patterns
  • Guide and assure integrations between enterprise/low-code platforms and third-party systems, primarily using REST APIs and enterprise integration technologies such as MuleSoft, Boomi or equivalent
  • Work with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure integration requirements, cross-system data flows, interfaces, dependencies, technical risks and responsibilities are understood, documented and managed
  • Ensure appropriate technical designs and documentation are produced and assured, including HLDs, LLDs, integration/interface diagrams, API/interface specifications and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Provide technical oversight of integration design, including API contracts, authentication and authorisation, data mapping, error handling, retries, security and resilience
  • Ensure platform and integration solutions meet enterprise architecture and non-functional requirements, including security, performance, scalability, resilience, disaster recovery, recovery objectives, business continuity and operational support
  • Provide technical leadership and assurance throughout discovery, design, delivery and transition to operations, working across product, architecture, cloud, data and QA teams and ensuring appropriate monitoring, alerting and support arrangements are established
  • Provide direct line management and own capability development across the practice, including performance management, skills development, training, knowledge sharing, succession planning and recruitment

Required Experience

  • Proven experience leading enterprise application, ERP, CRM, or digital transformation programmes within complex organisations.
  • Strong experience working with SAP solutions, ideally including S/4HANA or wider SAP transformation initiatives.
  • Experience across other enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Pega, Oracle, Workday, or comparable technologies.
  • Demonstrated success supporting business development, opportunity shaping, bids, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting and delivery teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including engagement with senior business and technology leaders.
  • Experience operating within consulting, systems integration, professional services, or enterprise transformation environments.

Required Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise and low-code platforms, with experience of one or more technologies such as Pega, Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Veeva Vault or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration, particularly connecting enterprise, low-code and SaaS platforms with third-party systems using REST APIs
  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms and technologies such as MuleSoft, Boomi or equivalent iPaaS/middleware solutions
  • Experience leading or providing technical oversight of integration solutions involving multidisciplinary teams and third-party vendors
  • Good understanding of the integration lifecycle, from requirements and solution design through implementation, testing and operational handover
  • Experience producing, reviewing or assuring technical documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, integration/interface diagrams, API/interface specifications and ICDs
  • Good understanding of REST APIs, API contracts, authentication and authorisation, data mapping, error handling, retry strategies, integration patterns, resilience and security
  • 5+ years' direct line management experience, including performance management, skills development and building technical capability
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams responsible for enterprise platforms and/or integration solutions
  • Strong communicator, able to engage and challenge technical and non-technical stakeholders, balance delivery with technical quality, and operate effectively within regulated or high-assurance environments

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Relevant certifications in enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Pega, or comparable technologies are desirable.
  • Professional certifications in enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, project delivery, or agile methodologies would be advantageous.
