About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, integration-focused engineer to join our Software & Integration team.

This role is all about designing, building, and governing integrations across Azure and AWS - connecting SaaS platforms, cloud services, and on-premise systems using API-led, event-driven, and low-code integration patterns.

This is not an infrastructure, DevOps or platform-heavy engineering role.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience being hands-on in delivering secure, resilient, reusable integration solutions and collaborating closely with architects, analysts, and software teams.

You'll play a key role in shaping the client's integration standards, patterns and best practices, while delivering integrations that support major transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support API-led, event-driven, and batch integrations across AWS and Azure
  • Work with business analysts, architects, and software engineers to translate requirements into integration designs
  • Deliver integrations using a blend of low-code/no-code tooling and custom code
  • Build modular, reusable integration components that follow well-governed patterns
  • Define and implement error-handling, retries, logging, and system resilience strategies
  • Apply secure integration approaches including identity, access, secrets management, and data protection
  • Contribute to CI/CD, testing, and deployment pipelines for integration services
  • Produce detailed, high-quality integration documentation, data flows, and runbooks

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as an Integration Engineer working across Azure and/or AWS
  • Hands-on experience withlow-code/no-code platforms such as:
    • Azure Logic Apps
    • Power Automate
    • AWS AppFlow
    • MuleSoft Composer
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, synchronous/asynchronous)
  • Experience designing and building REST/SOAP APIs and event-based integrations
  • Practical knowledge of integration security - 0Auth 2.0, JWT, managed identities, secrets
  • Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Pega
  • Coding/scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, ETL tools)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong documentation skills - diagrams, data flows, design specs

Desirable Qualifications

  • Working within secure, regulated, or governed environments
  • Exposure to IAM, least-privilege models, and secure cloud integration patterns
  • Experience contributing to integration standards, patterns, or reference architectures

Security Clearance

  • Must hold or be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)
  • Requires 5+ years UK residency and standard vetting checks
