Senior Project Manager - Insurance (PAS Implementation) - £650

Senior Project Manager - Specialty Insurance (PAS Implementation)
London (Hybrid - up to 2 days onsite)
12-month contract | 5 days per week
Up to £650/day Inside IR35

We're working with our client, a major player within the Specialty Insurance market, on a high-profile transformation programme that's already well underway. This is a key hire to step into an established project (3+ years in flight) and take ownership of delivering new product implementations across their European business.

This isn't a "start from scratch" role - you'll be picking up a live, complex programme and driving it forward, working with senior stakeholders and a strong delivery team. If you enjoy stepping into moving projects, bringing structure, and making things happen, this one's worth a look.

What you'll be doing

You'll be leading a core IT delivery team made up of a Business Analyst, Solution Architect, and Test Manager, taking full ownership of planning, governance, and delivery across the programme. Day-to-day, you'll be managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and budgets while keeping stakeholders aligned and engaged across the business.

A big part of the role will involve navigating complex change - understanding both business and technical impacts, shaping delivery approach, and ensuring everything lands smoothly. You'll be working closely with third-party vendors and internal teams, driving delivery through a mix of structured project methodologies and agile practices.

You'll also be front and centre when it comes to stakeholder engagement - running steering committees, managing escalations, and ensuring clear, consistent communication across all levels. Ultimately, you'll be responsible for keeping the project on track, within budget, and delivering real business value.

What we're looking for

Must have:

  • Strong track record delivering complex IT projects in enterprise environments (5+ years)

  • Proven PAS implementation experience within Speciality Insurance (non-negotiable)

  • Solid background in insurance change projects

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams (BA, Architecture, Testing)

  • Strong stakeholder management - comfortable operating at senior level

  • Experience working with third parties / vendors

  • Ability to manage budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery end-to-end

Nice to have:

  • Experience within MGA or Lloyd's market environments

  • Familiarity with agile / SCRUM delivery

  • Previous exposure to large insurers or global programmes

Why this role?

  • High-impact programme within a leading insurance environment

  • Well-established project - no firefighting from scratch

  • Strong stakeholder exposure across Europe

  • Long-term contract with stability

  • Hybrid working with a London base

If you've delivered PAS implementations in Specialty Insurance and you're comfortable stepping into a complex, fast-moving programme, this is a strong opportunity to make an immediate impact.
