Scope
Akkodis is launching a new technical delivery team to drive a UK national program in collaboration with key partners, designed to transform and future-proof the central government’s workforce. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, strategic partnerships, and a comprehensive SaaS-based platform, this program will create an advanced, candidate-centric experience tailored to meet tomorrow’s public sector skill demands.

We’re looking for a skilled ServiceNow Configuration Specialist/Developer to join our team to support the implementation and ongoing development of our ServiceNow Platform. You will play a key role in designing, configuring, and enhancing ITSM workflows, as well as building integrations and automations to optimise service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Configure and customise core ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge etc)
- Design and build ServiceNow workflows using Flow Designer and Business Rules
- Develop and maintain custom applications and UI pages as required
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using IntegrationHub, REST APIs and MID servers
- Maintain system security through roles, groups, and ACLs
- Support and improve the Service Portal and end-user experience
- Perform unit testing, assist with UAT, and develop solutions via Dev/Test/Prod pipeline
- Maintain documentation of solutions and processes
- Stay current with ServiceNow best practices, new features, and product updates
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in ServiceNow configuration and development (2+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ITSM processes and ServiceNow ITSM suite
- Experience with Flow Designer, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Polices, etc
- Familiarity with JavaScript, Glide API, and REST integrations
- Understanding of user roles, access controls, and platform security
- Experience with Service Portal and catalogue development
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methods and use of DevOps tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines)
Desirable Skills
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator – Required or in progress
- ITIL V4 Foundation certification
- Experience with other ServiceNow modules (e.g. CMDB, Discovery, HRSD, SecOps)
- Exposure to Virtual Agent, Performance Analytics, or custom app development
