Overview
Solace-focused Middleware Engineer required to support and evolve low-latency messaging platforms underpinning FX and Fixed Income electronic trading within an investment banking environment.
The role suits a strong application services SME with hands-on Solace expertise and architecture exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Support and enhance the Solace PubSub+ messaging platform used by trading applications
Design, implement, and optimise low-latency messaging patterns (pub/sub, direct, guaranteed)
Integrate and onboard trading applications onto Solace in line with platform standards
Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot messaging flows in live trading environments
Act as a SME for application services and middleware messaging
Contribute to messaging architecture, standards, and platform improvements
Provide production support, including on-call and out-of-hours as required
Key Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on Solace experience (essential)
Background in middleware messaging within enterprise or low-latency environments
Application Services / Production Support SME mindset
Scripting skills (Python preferred; others considered)
Architecture exposure across messaging or application platforms
Experience in FX and/or Fixed Income trading environments
Investment Banking / Capital Markets background
