The Company
My client is a well-established, yet growing network service provider and Cisco Premier Partner based in Worcestershire.
The Role
I am looking for a driven Technical Team Leader to lead a team of Network Support Engineers and ensure smooth delivery of technical support services maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
The Technical Team Leader will oversee day-to-day Service Desk operations, ensuring incidents and requests are handled efficiently, and maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams. You will play a key role in developing team capability, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across support processes.
This is primarily an office-based role in Worcestershire but will also require ad-hoc travel to client sites.
The Person
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. You should be confident in guiding and mentoring technical staff, able to remain calm under pressure, and comfortable making decisions in fast-paced environments. A proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to service excellence, and a desire for ongoing professional development will be highly valued.
Technical Skills and Experience
- Proven experience of day-to-day working with Cisco technologies
- Will be CCNA certified at a minimum with CCNP preferable but not essential
- Must have experience in a Service Desk or technical support environment, ideally in a senior or team-leading capacity.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate technical staff.
- Excellent communication abilities, including clear written updates and confident customer-facing interaction.
- Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure, and common enterprise technologies to support effective technical escalation.
- Experience working with ITSM/ticketing platforms (e.g., incident, request, change management workflows).
- Must also hold a valid UK driving license.
