Role Overview

Albany Beck is scaling its Change & Transformation practice and is looking to hire a Systems/Business Analyst to work on an immediate deployment opportunity, supporting the Claims & Operations Product function, for one of our market-leading Insurance clients, based in London. This is a hands-on analytical role requiring strong domain expertise across Claims & Operations processes and systems, including policy administration systems, claims management platforms, and broader market integrations. The successful candidate will work across the full product lifecycle — safeguarding operational stability, supporting optimisation initiatives, and contributing to strategic transformation programmes — while ensuring systems remain well-controlled, compliant, and aligned to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of the Claims & Operations product strategy and long-term systems roadmap
  • Conduct end-to-end analysis of Claims & Operations processes to identify optimisation and transformation opportunities
  • Assess system landscapes and data flows, identifying inefficiencies, risks, and integration gaps
  • Translate business requirements into structured system requirements and functional designs
  • Support implementation activities including: Requirements definition, Functional design documentation, Testing support& Business readiness
  • Develop impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis, and change proposals
  • Produce high-quality documentation including process maps, user guides, and training materials
  • Ensure regulatory, audit, and control requirements are embedded into system enhancements
  • Support backlog refinement, prioritisation, and sprint delivery within product teams
  • Provide analytical input into system decisions, particularly relating to data integrity and controls
  • Monitor system performance and stability, proactively identifying improvement opportunities
  • Support quality assurance and control reviews to maintain data and system integrity
  • Act as a key liaison between Technology and Claims & Operations stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions across Claims, Operations, and cross-functional teams
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Work with system vendors to monitor SLA/KPI performance
  • Support vendor solution evaluations and contribute to commercial assessments
  • Identify and mitigate risks linked to system changes, data quality, and process controls
  • Track KPIs across Claims & Operations systems and processes
  • Use data-driven insights to support reporting, planning, and decision-making
  • Support lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Systems Analyst (ideally within London Market Insurance)
  • Strong understanding of Claims & Operations processes and workflows
  • Experience working with: Claims Management Systems, Policy Administration Systems or Market platforms and integrations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Experience working within product-centric or Agile delivery models
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable working across matrixed technology organisations
