Backend Engineer – Build Scalable, High‐Impact Financial Infrastructure

You’ll work across modern backend architecture, building services that are fast, resilient, secure and built to scale , all while collaborating closely with product, mobile, and frontend teams.

What You’ll Work On

• Designing and improving backend services that power web + mobile applications
• Building and maintaining high‐performance APIs and distributed microservices
• Solving problems around scalability, reliability, security, and automation
• Working with modern API protocols including GraphQL and gRPC
• Enhancing the platform that connects both traditional and on‐chain financial services

Must‐have experience:

• Strong backend engineering background with deep coding experience
• Professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) and/or Golang
• Solid understanding of microservices, event‐driven systems & distributed architecture
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or Redis
• Understanding of web semantics, API design & backend web standards
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
• Experience with CI/CD, build automation and modern engineering pipelines
• Excellent communication skills & ability to work cross‐functionally

Bonus experience:

• Building APIs for high‐scale consumer or B2B products
• Working with message queues like Kafka, RabbitMQ, NSQ, or Pulsar
• Integrating external APIs/services
• Performance optimisation & working under performance budgets
• Interest or experience in cryptocurrencies, Web3, or digital assets
• Open‐source contributions or tech blogs/talks
