The Role
As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll focus on building and enhancing consumer and business applications across web and mobile. You’ll design and develop with three core principles in mind: maintainability, performance, and security.
You’ll work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment where frontend engineers have real ownership and influence across the full development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a digital wallet experience that is secure, intuitive and performant across devices
- Build new features and optimise existing functionality for web and mobile platforms
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and services efficiently
- Participate in planning, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance
- Write clean, scalable, high-quality code aligned with best practices
- Contribute to performance optimisation and secure coding standards
Requirements
- Strong experience with React and/or React Native
- Experience with GraphQL and RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals (DOM, CORS, browser storage, request/response lifecycle)
- Strong knowledge of mobile platforms, including native modules, app lifecycle, data storage and performance optimisation (iOS & Android)
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript/ECMAScript standards
- Experience with version control systems
- Understanding of development pipelines and automation tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Fluent written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- Experience with additional programming languages
- Test automation experience
- Multi-language application development
- Knowledge of digital assets/cryptocurrency ecosystems
- Open-source contributions, technical writing, or community involvement
