Product Engineer

🚀 Product Engineer | AI Platform | London Hybrid | £80,000–£100,000 + Share Options

I’m working with a profitable, fast-growing technology company building an AI-powered research platform designed to help organisations move from question to decision faster.

They’re already trusted by major global brands, charities and institutions, and are now expanding the product engineering team behind their next-generation AI platform.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious Product Engineer who wants more ownership, more exposure to customers, and the chance to build real AI-enabled features from the ground up.

You’ll be joining a team with a strong product engineering culture - closer to forward-deployed engineering than a traditional engineering setup. Engineers here work directly with customers, shape problems as well as solve them, and take ownership of outcomes rather than simply working through tickets.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building production features end-to-end across frontend, backend and AI workflows

• Working with LLMs, model calls, agent loops and evals

• Shipping customer-facing product features quickly and iterating based on real feedback

• Getting hands-on with deployment, monitoring and production systems

• Joining customer calls and contributing to product and design discussions

• Working with AI-native development tools such as coding agents and Claude Code

• Growing quickly in a high-autonomy, high-expectation environment

Tech stack:

Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, Redis, PostgreSQL, Neo4j, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes, GCP and Datadog.

What they’re looking for:

• Around 2–4 years of engineering experience, although quality of delivery matters more than years

• Strong full-stack capability across frontend, backend and deployment

• Solid Python fundamentals

• Experience building something with LLMs, whether commercially or through a serious side project

• A genuine interest in AI-native development and coding tools

• Experience working in a fast-paced startup or 0-to-1 environment

• Someone who builds things, takes ownership and is comfortable with ambiguity

• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage directly with customers

Bonus points:

• Open-source contributions

• Strong CS fundamentals across algorithms, databases or distributed systems

• Experience with data-heavy products

• A background in market research, survey methodology or analytics

• Strong product and design instincts

Package:

• £80,000–£100,000 base salary

• Share options

• Private healthcare

• Pension

• 25 days annual leave

• Cycle to Work scheme

• Laptop and equipment budget

• Bright Spitalfields office

• Hybrid working in London

This is a great fit for someone who is already strong, wants to become exceptional, and is excited by the idea of building AI products with real customer impact.
