Business Development Managers

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced B2B payments sales professional to drive new business across complex and high-growth digital verticals, including iGaming, FX, CFD, crypto, fintech, gaming, and online platforms.

This is a senior individual contributor role for a strong commercial hunter who can open doors, build pipeline, manage enterprise-level conversations, and close revenue-generating deals. The ideal candidate will bring proven payment sales experience, relevant client relationships, and a clear understanding of how to sell payment solutions into sectors with complex risk, compliance, settlement, and cross-border requirements.

What You Will Do

1. Drive New Business Revenue

-Identify, approach, and acquire new B2B merchants, platforms, and strategic partners across Alchemy Pay’s priority verticals.

-Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, contract signing, and onboarding handover.

-Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outbound sales, existing industry relationships, referrals, events, partner channels, and market mapping.

-Engage senior stakeholders, including founders, CEOs, CFOs, Heads of Payments, Heads of Product, and commercial leaders.

-Own individual revenue targets and provide accurate pipeline updates, revenue forecasts, and deal progress reporting.

2. Sell Payment Solutions into Complex Verticals

-Position Alchemy Pay’s payment solutions across card payments, local payment methods, cross-border payments, on/off-ramp services, settlement, and crypto-related payment flows.

-Understand merchant requirements around acceptance rates, market coverage, settlement speed, pricing, risk appetite, compliance, and user experience.

-Tailor commercial proposals based on each client’s business model, target markets, payment needs, and operational requirements.

-Clearly explain payment and crypto-related solutions to both commercial and technical stakeholders.

3. Expand Strategic Market Coverage

-Develop Alchemy Pay’s presence across iGaming, FX, CFD, crypto, fintech, gaming, and other high-growth digital sectors.

-Leverage your existing network while continuing to build relationships with merchants, brokers, exchanges, platforms, PSPs, consultants, affiliates, and ecosystem partners.

-Represent Alchemy Pay at industry events, conferences, networking sessions, and client meetings.

-Share market intelligence with leadership, including competitor activity, client demand, pricing trends, product gaps, and emerging opportunities.

4. Work Cross-Functionally to Close and Launch Deals

-Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Client Success, Marketing, and Operations teams to move opportunities from prospect to live client.

-Ensure client requirements are clearly understood internally and aligned with Alchemy Pay’s product capabilities, risk appetite, and compliance standards.

-Support a smooth transition from signed deal to onboarding, implementation, and long-term account growth.

-Maintain a responsible sales approach when working with complex or higher-risk sectors.

What We Need

Payments Sales Experience

-At least 3 years of proven B2B sales experience in payments, ideally within PSPs, acquiring, payment gateways, local payment methods, cross-border payments, fintech, crypto payments, or payment infrastructure.

-A successful track record of building pipeline, closing B2B payment deals, and delivering revenue growth.

-Abundant experience selling to merchants, platforms, brokers, exchanges, fintechs, gaming companies, or digital businesses.

Relevant Vertical Network

-Strong existing relationships across one or more of the following sectors: iGaming, FX, CFD, online trading, crypto, fintech, gaming, or digital platforms.

-Ability to open doors with relevant merchants, partners, and senior decision-makers through your own network and market knowledge.

-Deep understanding of the payment challenges faced by clients in complex digital verticals.

Payment Product Understanding

-Strong knowledge of merchant payments, payment flows, settlement, pricing, onboarding, risk, compliance, and commercial negotiation.

-Ability to position payment solutions based on client pain points, business model, target markets, and product-market fit.

-Understanding of crypto, stablecoins, on/off-ramp solutions, exchanges, wallets, or Web3 payment use cases would be highly advantageous.

Commercial Profile

-Strong hunter mentality with the ability to proactively identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities.

-Confident managing the full sales cycle independently.

-Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

-Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers and presenting commercial proposals.

-Able to balance revenue growth with client quality, risk awareness, and long-term business sustainability.

Working Style

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Foreign language is a plus.

-Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and entrepreneurial environment.

-Able to collaborate effectively with Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Client Success, Marketing, and Operations teams.

-Based in London or able to work from London on a hybrid basis.

-Willing to attend industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events when required.
