We are looking for a driven and technically proficient AV & Home Automation Technician to support our engineering team in delivering high-end smart home solutions to residential clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects involving cutting-edge automation, AV systems, IT networking, and integrated security.

You'll be joining a company that values precision, innovation, and customer satisfaction-working on luxury residential properties, from single-room AV setups to full-home integrated automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• TV & Satellite Systems: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of multi-room TV and satellite distribution systems.
• Smart Home Automation: Support the delivery and ongoing servicing of control systems for lighting, blinds, HVAC, and audio-visual setups.
• AV & Network Racks: Build, wire, and install AV and data network racks to a high professional standard.
• IT & Networking: Assist in configuring robust home networks including managed switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points (Ubiquiti Unifi experience preferred).
• Security & Surveillance: Install and maintain CCTV systems, network video recorders (NVRs), and integrated access control solutions.
• Remote Support: Provide phone and online technical support to clients and assist with remote troubleshooting.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records including configuration files, as-built diagrams, and service reports.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful and timely project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in residential AV installation, including mounting TVs, installing ceiling/in-wall speakers, and integrating control systems.
• Familiarity with systems such as Control4, Lutron, Crestron, or Savant (programming knowledge a strong advantage).
• Solid understanding of IT networking principles and hands-on experience with IP-based systems.
• Confident using tools, test equipment, and reading technical drawings or wiring schematics.
• Experience with cable management, structured cabling, and fault finding.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a keen eye for detail and a clean, tidy work ethic.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical certification in AV, electrical installation, IT networking, or electronics (BTEC, City & Guilds, National Diploma, or equivalent).
• A full UK driving license (clean).
