Account Manager / Business Development Executive (Step-Up Role)

Salary: £75,000 OTE (£50,000 base / £25,000 commission)

Location: Reading

Reporting to: Managing Director

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a high-performing internal sales professional within the AV, UC or technology space who feels ready to take the next step into a client-facing, field-based commercial role.

You may currently be the top internal salesperson in your business - trusted, reliable, and commercially sharp - but feeling held back by a lack of progression, autonomy or opportunity. If you're young, hungry, confident, eager to learn and driven to succeed, this could be the breakout role you're looking for.

You'll initially be office-based in the Reading area, working closely with senior leadership, delivery teams and partners, with regular and increasing exposure to client meetings, partner visits and on-site engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a portfolio of end-user accounts within the corporate sector

Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound engagement and relationship-led selling

Leverage the Clients extensive end-user database to uncover new project and service opportunities

Support and progress AV and UC project opportunities from enquiry through to close

Build trusted relationships with clients by understanding their needs and positioning appropriate solutions

Sell project-based AV/UC solutions alongside professional and managed services

Work closely with internal technical teams and vendor partners to ensure successful outcomes

Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline management and forecasting

Develop a strong understanding of AV, UC and collaboration technologies, trends and solutions

About You

Proven success in an internal sales, inside sales or sales support role within AV, UC or a closely related technology sector

A consistent track record of hitting or exceeding targets

Strong relationship-building skills with end users, partners or resellers

Confident, commercially aware and comfortable communicating with stakeholders at different levels

Ambitious, driven and eager to progress into a client-facing, field-based role

Hungry to learn, competitive by nature and motivated by success

Frustrated by limited progression in your current role and ready for more responsibility

Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple opportunities

Previous field sales experience is not required - attitude, hunger and potential are key.
