Digital Signage Installer (Fitter) - Leeds Based with UK Travel

£30,000 to £35,000 per annum

About the Client

Our client is a growing digital integration and solutions agency, based in Leeds, UK, specialising in cutting-edge digital installations within retail and travel retail environments. They deliver innovative digital signage solutions, LED displays, commercial signage displays, and audio systems across the UK. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking for an experienced Digital Signage Installer (Fitter) to join their team.

The Role

As a Digital Signage Installer, you'll be responsible for installing and commissioning a wide range of digital signage systems, including large-format LED displays, LCD screens, and audio systems with integrated control solutions.

You'll work closely with Project Managers and Senior Engineers, playing a key role in delivering high-quality installations to prestigious clients in retail and travel sectors. The role offers excellent variety, combining on-site installation, system testing, and technical troubleshooting, with some office/warehouse-based duties in Leeds/Bradford.

Key Responsibilities

Mounting & Setup - Install and configure LED displays, commercial LCD signage, and in-store audio systems in retail stores and airports across the UK.

Commissioning & Reporting - Assist with testing new systems, verifying cabling, checking signal flow, and troubleshooting where required.

Wiring & Cabling - Plan and install power, video, and data cabling; ensure neat, professional finishing.

Rack Build & Terminations - Populate, wire, terminate, label, and test racks to industry standards, interpreting schematics and diagrams.

Structural Installations - Safely mount large LED panels using correct support structures.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting - Work with the technical team to resolve faults across hardware, software, and network connections.

Maintenance & Repair - Carry out routine maintenance, updates, and component replacements (power supplies, LEDs, etc.).

Health & Safety - Ensure compliance when working with electrical systems and at heights.

Compliance & Quality - Installations must comply with building codes and electrical standards, ensuring top-quality client outcomes.

Office & Warehouse Support - Support stock control, maintenance reporting, deliveries, and project prep/clean-up when needed.

Collaboration - Work directly with clients, contractors, and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery.

What the Client is Looking For

Hands-on experience mounting signage/display brackets and installing ceiling/surface-mounted speakers (essential).

Experience terminating power and data cabling (essential).

Technical knowledge of digital signage or AV systems, with fault-finding skills.

Basic IT knowledge (Windows/macOS).

High attention to detail and a focus on quality control.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum 2 years' experience in digital signage, AV, or a similar installation role.

Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).

CSCS/ECS card (preferred).

Experience Required

Digital Signage or Commercial Signage Installations: 2 years+ (preferred)

Audio Visual Setup & Installation: 2 years+ (preferred)

Work Authorisation: Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Travel: 100% UK travel (night work essential).
