Programme Analyst – MS Project – IT Transformation – Consultancy/Finance

A consultancy with a to-client transition model is looking for a detail-oriented MS Project professional to join a major technology infrastructure transformation programme within a leading financial institution. This role sits at the heart of programme delivery, supporting senior programme leadership by maintaining accurate schedules, analysing programme data, and producing meaningful reporting that drives decision-making across a complex, multi-workstream environment. The successful candidate will have a strong grounding in project and programme lifecycles and be comfortable working with large volumes of schedule and delivery data. You will ultimately transition to a permanent role at the end-client.

This opportunity suits a graduate with 3+ years of experience in project, PMO, or programme environments, particularly within large technology or infrastructure initiatives. You will bring strong analytical capability and advanced MS Project skills, enabling you to manipulate schedules, build insightful reports, and support planning across a large transformation programme. It is an excellent opportunity to develop within a high-profile financial services environment while contributing to the delivery of a significant enterprise-wide change programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update programme schedules within MS Project across multiple workstreams
  • Analyse and manipulate schedule data to produce clear programme reporting and insights
  • Support programme planning, dependency management, and milestone tracking
  • Build and maintain reporting packs for programme leadership and governance forums
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across project plans and reporting outputs
  • Work closely with PMO, project managers, and technical leads across the programme
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling, reporting, and programme controls processes

This is initially a one-year fixed term contract with the consultancy, which will transition thereafter into a permanent role with the end client. This is a £55,000-£60,000 salary role.
