Project Manager - Retail Banking

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Middle-East bank (London office), taking ownership of the delivery of high-priority strategic programmes and projects across the organisation.

This is a senior delivery role working closely with Business, Technology, Enablement and Control functions, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-priority programmes and projects, ensuring they are delivered against agreed scope, timelines, budget and business outcomes.
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, resources and delivery priorities.
• Establish effective project governance, ensuring adherence to the Bank’s project management standards, processes and controls.
• Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies and escalations, providing clear visibility and recommended actions to senior management.
• Work across multiple projects and programmes, managing complex interdependencies and ensuring alignment across Business and Technology teams.
• Prepare and present concise project and programme updates, including key decisions, risks, milestones and management actions, to senior management and Executive-level governance forums.
• Review business cases, project demands, requirements and delivery approaches, providing constructive challenge and recommendations where required.
• Work closely with Programme Managers, Delivery Teams and Business stakeholders to resolve issues and drive execution.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience within Banking, ideally across Banking Technology, transformation or large-scale change programmes.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing or overseeing large, complex programmes of work.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects/programmes concurrently with significant dependencies.
• Strong experience working with senior stakeholders, SVPs, Business Heads and Executive-level leadership.
• Experience preparing and presenting project/programme reporting and recommendations to senior management.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Proven ability to work across Business, Technology, Enablement and Control functions.
• Experience managing or coordinating teams of 5–10 people within a matrix environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
