Role Overview
The Associate will play a critical role in all aspects of the investment process, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to executing transactions and supporting portfolio companies. This position offers exposure to high-profile deals within the software sector, close collaboration with senior investment professionals, and the ability to make a tangible impact on value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Analysis & Execution
- Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis for potential investments.
- Perform due diligence across commercial, financial, legal, and operational areas.
- Prepare investment committee materials and present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Deal Sourcing & Market Research
- Support origination efforts by mapping the European software and technology ecosystem.
- Build relationships with founders, executives, bankers, and advisors.
- Assess industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify attractive opportunities.
- Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio company performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with management teams to drive growth initiatives, M&A strategies, and operational improvements.
- Provide ongoing financial analysis and support for board-level reporting.
Candidate Profile
- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or private equity (preferably with exposure to software or technology transactions).
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact confidently with senior executives, advisors, and investors.
