💰 £500–£550 per day
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Delivery Resource Manager to join a growing technology consultancy and lead the planning and allocation of project resources across the delivery organisation.
This role will play a key part in ensuring delivery teams are effectively deployed across client engagements, balancing project demand with consultant availability while maximising utilisation across the business.
Working closely with Delivery Directors, Project Managers and senior stakeholders, you will oversee resource planning, drive improvements to resource management processes and ensure the business has clear visibility of capacity, utilisation and upcoming demand.
This position would suit someone with strong experience in resource management, delivery operations, PMO leadership or workforce planning, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the allocation and scheduling of consultants and delivery specialists across active and upcoming projects
• Oversee utilisation levels across the delivery organisation, identifying opportunities to optimise resource deployment
• Maintain accurate resource planning data within internal systems to support forecasting and reporting
• Partner with Delivery Directors and Project Managers to plan and manage project staffing requirements
• Provide visibility of resource capacity, utilisation and pipeline demand to senior leadership
• Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of delivery resources within the organisation’s resource management platform
• Manage and maintain the internal skills library to ensure accurate visibility of team capabilities
• Identify and implement improvements to resource management processes, tools and reporting
• Support wider workforce planning across departments to ensure projects are effectively staffed
Skills & Experience
• Strong experience in resource management, workforce planning, delivery operations or PMO environments
• Previous experience working within technology consulting or professional services organisations
• Proven ability to manage complex resource planning across multiple projects and teams
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to interpret utilisation and capacity data
• Experience working with resource management or PSA systems
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to balancing project demand with consultant availability
