Alexander Lloyd are supporting a fantastic organisation who are seeking an experienced Senior IT Category Manager to join a high‐performing procurement function on a temporary 6 month basis initially . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‐paced, complex organisations and can lead strategic technology procurement with confidence.

About the role

You’ll take ownership of IT & Cyber category strategies, leading sourcing activity across high‐value, business‐critical technology portfolios. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor, you’ll help shape digital and cyber programmes, ensure value delivery, and strengthen supplier performance.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead end‐to‐end procurement across IT, Digital and Cyber categories.
• Own category strategies aligned to organisational goals and tech roadmaps.
• Deliver complex sourcing events, tenders, negotiations and contracting.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with legal, finance and technical teams on commercial solutions.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, operational and cyber‐related risks.
• Improve procurement processes and data quality across systems.

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience in IT and/or Cyber procurement within large or complex environments.
• Knowledge of SaaS, cloud, managed services, licensing and cyber security solutions.
• Proven ability to lead and negotiate high‐value technology deals.
• Stakeholder influencing skills at senior levels.

Contract details

• 6‐month temporary contract (potential extension) via limited company or umbrella
• Full‐time, hybrid working.
• Competitive day rate depending on experience.
