On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Controls Systems Verification Engineer for a 12 Month contract based in Bristol (hybrid)
Job description - the role
The Controls Systems Verification Engineer is responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of the controls sub-system and the artefacts associated with the integration, verification, and validation of the system. This shall be achieved through development of test strategies, test artefacts and maintainability of test platforms and tools to demonstrate that the system implementation satisfies the validated system requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Creates approved requirement verification strategies that demonstrate the system requirements via the most suitable verification method (or methods).
- Allocates control system requirements to test vehicles defined in the verification plan.
- Analyses the control system for functional behaviour, which may include modelling and simulation to demonstrate that the design meets the high-level requirements.
- Executes the control system tests in the test platform and documents the verification evidence and system configuration used to produce the test results.
- Analyses verification test results against control system requirements and provides a valid verdict.
- Engages with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to deliver the control verification work products that support system releases.
Key Experiences and any Qualifications
- Have held a similar Systems Verification position
- Ideally working knowledge of ARP4754 verification objectives, verification vehicles, controls design, system architecture, software and/or hardware architecture, and software and hardware development process constraints.
- Must have active SC
