Senior Technical Architect

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Senior Technical Architect (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month hybrid contract based 1 day per week in Salisbury or Portsmouth.

Note: SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position, (and speed at which we require a postholder in situ), preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance

A senior technical architect works with multiple projects or teams on problems that require broad architectural thinking, adhering to Dstl policy and procedures.

You will:
. be responsible for leading the technical design of systems and services, justifying and communicating design decisions
. assure other services and system quality, ensuring the technical work fits into the broader strategy for government
. explore the benefits of cross-government alignment
. provide mentoring within teams
. provide leadership to other architects

Qualifications
. TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
. ISEB (Information Systems Examination Board) And one of the following
. ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification
. IT4IT Certification
. COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies) Certification
