On behalf of Tesco IMS, AMS are now looking for a Technical Business Analyst for a 6-month contract based in either the Edinburgh or Glasgow office on a hybrid model.

About the Role

On behalf of our client, AMS is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join the Planning & Reporting workstream. This role is critical to supporting the replacement of a consolidation tool with new Oracle-based technology.

The Technical Business Analyst will play a key role in system integration, finance-related change activity, and technical rebuilds to ensure robust reporting and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Business Analyst:

• To support the design, rebuild, and validation of reporting tools and Excel-based EUDAs (End User Developed Applications).
• Assist in the implementation of Oracle EPBCS/Oracle EPM Planning.
• Drive data migration, mapping, and reconciliation between Legacy and target systems.
• Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), defect resolution, and requirements traceability.
• Collaborate with Finance teams to enhance planning, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Track and manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).
• Maintain clear audit trails for requirements, testing outcomes, and compliance.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of business-related change activity.

Skills & Experience required:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Finance or Technology transformation projects.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud products and management reporting systems.
• Expertise in Advanced Excel and EUDA rebuilds.
• Experience in system rebuilds, redesigns, and technical file builds.
• Background in finance processes and management reporting.
• Ability to work across integration projects and support large-scale technology change.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable experience includes:

• Experience with Oracle EPBCS/Oracle EPM Planning.
• Familiarity with finance consolidation tools and reporting systems.
• Prior involvement in business change initiatives within Finance or Technology.
