The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Business Consultant Engineering (Quantity Surveyor) to join our ERP Implementation team.

This role is ideal for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working with technology and wants to help leading construction organisations transform their commercial and project management processes through ERP implementation.

You will work closely with clients to understand business requirements, configure ERP solutions, deliver training, and ensure successful project delivery from implementation through post go-live support.

Key Responsibilities ERP Implementation
  • Implement ERP modules including:
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Cost Control & Budgeting
  • Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
  • Estimation & Tendering
  • Procurement & Subcontract Management
  • Contracts & Commercial Management
  • Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)
  • Conduct requirement gathering workshops and process mapping.
  • Perform gap analysis and prepare business documentation.
  • Configure workflows aligned with client business processes.
  • Support data migration including:
  • BOQs
  • Cost Codes
  • Contracts
  • Material Schedules
  • Budgets & Forecasts
  • CVR Structures
Client Engagement
  • Work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers, Project Managers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver user training on ERP functionality.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Manage change requests and system enhancements.
Project Delivery
  • Track implementation milestones and project deliverables.
  • Identify project risks and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Support successful go-live activities.
  • Provide post implementation support and continuous process improvement.

What We're Looking For Essential Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role within Construction or Civil Engineering.
  • Strong experience in:
  • Cost Planning
  • Budgeting
  • Tendering
  • Valuations
  • Contract Administration
  • Financial Reporting
  • Good understanding of construction procurement and commercial processes.
  • Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple implementation projects.
Education

Bachelor's degree in one of the following:

  • Quantity Surveying (RICS Accredited preferred)
  • Construction Management
  • Civil Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science
  • Business Administration
  • Related discipline

Postgraduate Quantity Surveying conversion qualifications are also welcome.

Desirable

Experience with construction ERP platforms such as:

  • Xpedeon
  • COINS
  • Sage
  • Similar Construction ERP systems

Knowledge of:

  • Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)

  • Construction Project Financial Lifecycle
