Business Development Executive

The business specialises in intelligent automation platforms and associated services and has developed a strong presence particularly within the NHS and local government sectors, with ambitions to grow further into both public and private markets.We're looking to appoint a dynamic and commercially driven Business Development Executive to help lead and deliver growth initiatives across the business. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving lead generation, customer acquisition, brand development, and campaign execution - helping to shape the commercial capabilities of the business going forward.This is a key strategic hire that will allow the successful candidate to influence the trajectory of the sales and marketing function and contribute meaningfully to the organisation's continued success.

Key Points* Experience in SaaS, automation technologies (e.g. Blue Prism, UiPath, AI solutions, workflow systems), or broader digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.* Execute and contribute to the overarching Sales Strategy to drive lead generation and close new business.* Use tools such as Zoho CRM and methodologies like MEDPICC (or similar) to manage sales processes effectively.* Price and package deals using the organisation's core product and service offerings, with support from the Directors.* Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and deal progression is maintained within the CRM.* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across an existing and expanding client base.* Build and maintain relationships across the public and private sectors, in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing Director.* Collaborate closely with strategic partners to nurture leads and ensure mutual value is created from partnerships.* Monitor and report on pipeline health, KPIs, and sales progress in monthly meetings.* Represent the company at industry events, sales meetings, and customer presentations.* Align closely with the marketing function to convert interest and engagement into tangible sales outcomes.* Is familiar with tools such as Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, Smartlead, and LinkedIn Ads.

Desirable Skills & Experience* Sales experience in automation technologies (e.g. Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere).* Public sector experience and knowledge of frameworks such as G-Cloud.* Understanding of procurement and tender platforms such as PreContract, Proactis, etc.* Experience writing successful tenders.* Familiarity with SEO, PPC, and performance marketing.* Content creation or design experience using tools such as Canva, Adobe, PowerPoint, or video editing software (e.g. Camtasia, Fliki).
