Role: Quality Assurance Tester
Contract: 6 months
Location: Chiswick
Mode: Hybrid
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
Duties and responsibilities:
- Designing, drafting, and executing test cases (functional and non-functional) based on system requirements and specifications
- Reviewing application specifications relevant to testing
- Work with Application Owner in implementing a methodological framework by leading draft test strategies
- Assist with, and opportunity to lead the coordination of project phases with development teams
- Conducting integration tests
- Performing end-to-end tests
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools, and work with development teams to resolve issues
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports to present to project group and management
- Develop and maintain test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on system improvements
- Administering and maintaining the test repository
Requirements:
- ISTQB certified
- Experience of test execution at all levels (User Acceptance, Integration etc).
- Experience producing high quality test execution plans, cases, and scripts
- Experience testing with one or more system development delivery approaches such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum etc.
- Strong communication skills
- Proven experience of testing a wide range of IT Information Systems and associated integration platforms associated with supporting the quality assurance of system development delivery
- Ability to analyse complex systems and identify potential issues
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the system are thoroughly tested
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
- Proficiency in using bug tracking and project management tools, e.g. JIRA etc.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong experience building test scenarios and use cases based on designed configuration
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and flexibility in a challenging environment with competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others as appropriate
- ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunity and confidence to use initiative to pursue solutions
- Experience with project management and testing tools
- Work collaboratively w/small teams
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends to continuously improve testing processes.
