Practice Architect - Modern Workplace Solutions

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Practice Architect with a passion for modern workplace technologies to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be primarily focused on delivering robust solutions utilising Office 365, Microsoft Intune, and modern operating system deployment methods. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting solution architects in the development and implementation of solutions for both global and regional initiatives, ensuring technical excellence and innovation throughout.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and implementation of modern workplace solutions, with a particular focus on Office 365, Microsoft Intune, and OS deployment strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with solution architects to develop scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that meet business requirements on a global and regional scale.
  • Design, develop and deploy services in the Intune and 365 Ecosystem
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support throughout the solution lifecycle, from initial planning to delivery and post-implementation review.
  • Provide technical support to resolve tickets, troubleshooting issues, and providing expert guidance to end-users and other team members.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies within the modern workplace arena.
  • Mentor, coach, and support junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring knowledge transfer across the team.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, best practice guides, and solution architectures.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing modern workplace solutions, including Office 365 and Microsoft Intune.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern OS deployment methods (e.g., Windows Autopilot, Configuration Manager, Windows Update for Business).
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and identity management within Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience and confidence creating, maintaining and deploying scripts through Powershell
  • Proven ability to support and mentor junior team members, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in multi-national environments and delivering solutions for global and regional projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-102)
  • Additional relevant Microsoft certifications would be advantageous.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of Agile, ITIL practices and service management.
  • Exposure to DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to manage and optimise storage solutions.
  • Understanding of compliance standards (GDPR, ISO 27001).

Location & working patters
