We are working with a council in South West London and seeking an experienced Performance Analyst to support Children's Services with the delivery of key statutory returns and performance reporting. This short-term assignment will focus on the accurate and timely completion of the Children in Need (CiN) Census and SSDA903 return, working closely with the existing Performance Team and service stakeholders across Children, Lifelong Learning and Families. The role suits an analyst with strong children's social care data experience, confidence working with statutory datasets, and a proactive approach to improving data quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the delivery of statutory returns, with a primary focus on CiN Census and SSDA903.
- Work closely with the Children's Services Performance Team to ensure data accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
- Extract, validate and analyse data from case management systems, ideally Mosaic.
- Take ownership of identifying and implementing data quality improvements linked to statutory reporting.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams across Children, Lifelong Learning and Families to gather, validate and resolve data queries.
- Provide clear insight and assurance around statutory processes, deadlines and requirements.
- Support wider performance reporting activity where required during the assignment.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Performance Analyst within Children's Social Care.
- Strong knowledge of statutory returns and reporting requirements, particularly CiN and SSDA903.
- Hands-on experience working with Mosaic or similar children's social care systems.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence owning data quality actions end-to-end.
- Comfortable managing statutory processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Clear communicator with the ability to explain data issues to non-technical audiences.
- Able to work on-site 3 days per week.
