Senior Digital Talent Partner/Technical Resourcer - 6 months - London or Manchester - £400pd Inside
Senior Digital Talent Partner/Technical Resourcer - 6 months - London or Manchester - £400pd Inside IR35
A central government digital organisation is building a proactive, evidence-led digital recruitment team, and is looking for experienced talent professionals to find, engage and secure exceptional people in some of the hardest-to-fill technology markets. You will join a multidisciplinary team of 15, including recruitment leads, managers and partners, working on niche, high-end tech roles across engineering, AI, data, cyber, product and digital delivery.
This is a hands-on, 360 recruitment role rather than a vacancy-processing one. The successful candidate will build tailored sourcing strategies, make direct approaches to passive candidates, and advise hiring leaders on the realities of the market. You'll be assessed on how many new people you can bring into this space, so candidates who can hit the ground running are essential.
You'll need an understanding of the tech stacks behind the roles you recruit for, such as the developer market, Python, and Front End and Back End requirements, and the confidence to advise on sourcing routes and strategies. Experience at large technology firms such as Amazon, Google or Microsoft would stand out, though government experience is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own difficult and priority technical campaigns end to end, from brief through to accepted offer, using direct approaches rather than waiting for applications
- Source talent across multiple job boards and channels, selecting the best routes to achieve recruitment outcomes
- Map technical and digital markets and build engaged talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles
- Partner with senior hiring leaders to sharpen briefs, agree realistic hiring strategies and challenge requirements that won't work in the market
- Bring market insight on talent availability, location, reward and candidate motivation to support better hiring decisions
- Build and convert relationships with high-value candidates, supporting offer and closing conversations
- Shape fair, inclusive assessments that test what genuinely matters for the role
- Use data and lessons from delivery to improve tools, campaigns and ways of working across the wider recruitment function
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience sourcing scarce technical talent directly, including mapping markets and approaching passive candidates in areas such as engineering, AI, data, cyber, product or digital delivery
- A variety of sourcing experience across multiple job boards and platforms, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, rather than reliance on one channel
- All-round experience in technical and digital markets, rather than specialism in a single niche
- Good understanding of tech stacks and how to assess developer and engineering skills
- Confident advising and challenging senior hiring leaders when expectations don't match the market
- Adaptable, results-focused team player who can start quickly and work independently
- Experience of delivering difficult hires and changing strategy when the original approach wasn't working
Desirable Experience:
- Experience recruiting for large technology firms such as Amazon, Google or Microsoft
- Experience working in central government or the wider public sector
- Experience using Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter or other ATS and sourcing platforms
- Experience coaching or supporting other recruiters or talent partners
