Fire alarm & Security Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Alarm & Security Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Fire Alarm & Security Engineer role
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000
Location: Field based
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday Friday 8am-4pm
Responsibilities of the Fire Alarm & Security Engineer
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on fire alarm systems, access control, CCTV and emergency lighting services
- Identify, diagnose and rectify faults efficiently
- Complete small works and remedials where required
- Accurately complete service reports, certificates and compliance documentation using digital/mobile platforms
- Consistently uphold high standards of workmanship, compliance and health & safety
- Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts
- Manage stock/van parts
- Maintain clear communication with the office, providing detailed job notes and technical feedback
Requirements for a successful Fire Alarm & Security Engineer
- Field-based engineering experience within the fire and/or security sector
- Technical knowledge of fire alarms, access control, CCTV and emergency lighting
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving license
