The Role

The Digital Platforms Technical Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining end‐to‐end technical visibility across core banking, card processing, and digital channels. Working closely with internal Business, Operations, and IT teams, as well as external managed service providers, you will ensure effective system integration, platform stability, and strong governance.

This role combines hands‐on technical analysis with stakeholder engagement, requiring the ability to investigate incidents, challenge vendor outputs, and clearly articulate technical issues and their operational impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain end‐to‐end technical oversight across core banking, card processing, and digital banking platforms
  • Act as the bank‐side technical liaison for managed service providers and third‐party vendors
  • Analyse incidents, challenge vendor root cause analysis, and support long‐term fixes
  • Support system integrations, UAT, release validation, and change governance
  • Work closely with Core Banking, Cards Operations, Customer Services, and IT teams
  • Analyse card transactions, payment routing, authorisation, clearing, and settlement flows
  • Translate technical issues into clear operational and business impact
  • Support scheme changes (Visa / Mastercard) and regulatory-driven initiatives such as PSD2 and SCA
  • Identify risks, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve platform stability and resilience

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in banking, payments, fintech, or digital platforms
  • Exposure to card issuing, payment processing, or digital banking environments
  • Strong understanding of API-based integrations and system-to-system interactions
  • Experience working with third‐party vendors or managed service providers
  • Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to clearly explain technical issues to non‐technical audiences
