AI Transformation Director Hybrid working (remote/ London) 6 months with a view to extend £1200 per day Outside IR35 Our client is a leading technology organisation helping businesses drive transformation through digital innovation and emerging technologies.They are seeking an experienced AI Transformation Director to lead enterprise AI initiatives, working with senior stakeholders to develop strategy, accelerate adoption and deliver measurable business outcomes.This is a senior leadership role for an experienced transformation professional with a strong track record of driving organisational change.The Role Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will lead the development and delivery of AI transformation programmes for enterprise clients. You will help organisations identify opportunities to leverage AI, establish governance and operating models, improve business processes and embed AI capabilities across their operations.Working alongside consulting, engineering and delivery teams, you will oversee multiple transformation initiatives, ensuring they deliver measurable business outcomes while maintaining appropriate standards for security, governance and compliance.This role combines strategy, programme leadership, stakeholder management and innovation, making it ideal for an experienced transformation leader looking to shape how organisations adopt artificial intelligence.Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

  • Develop AI transformation strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on AI adoption, investment priorities and implementation approaches.
  • Support clients in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, decision-making and customer outcomes through AI.
  • Translate business challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions.
  • Provide strategic guidance on the evolving AI landscape and emerging technologies.

Transformation Delivery

  • Lead complex transformation programmes from discovery through implementation.
  • Define operating models that support sustainable AI adoption.
  • Identify high-value opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure successful delivery of AI initiatives.
  • Establish governance, reporting and programme management frameworks.

Governance & Risk

  • Develop policies and best practice for responsible AI adoption.
  • Support clients with AI governance, risk management and regulatory considerations.
  • Ensure solutions align with security, privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Promote responsible use of AI technologies across all programmes.

Change & Adoption

  • Design change management strategies that encourage successful adoption.
  • Build AI capability across leadership teams and wider business functions.
  • Deliver workshops, executive briefings and awareness programmes.
  • Support organisations in developing the skills required for long-term AI adoption.

Commercial & Business Value

  • Define success measures and performance indicators for transformation programmes.
  • Monitor benefits realisation throughout delivery.
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity and operational performance.
  • Present recommendations and programme updates to executive stakeholders.

Leadership

  • Lead multidisciplinary consulting and transformation teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Mentor consultants and support the development of AI capabilities across the practice.
  • Encourage collaboration between business and technical teams.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in digital, technology or business transformation leadership.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-wide change programmes.
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, automation and emerging digital technologies.
  • Experience engaging with C-suite stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of governance, programme management and organisational change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable

  • Background within consulting, professional services or enterprise technology.
  • Experience delivering AI or automation programmes.
  • Knowledge of data strategy, cloud technologies or digital operating models.

  • Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Business, Technology or a related discipline.
