Data Analytics Manager

Data Analytics Manager, £60-70k, Media, Central London (Hybrid Working)

Altum Consulting are recruiting a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analytics Manager to join a global Media business based in central London. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT or a related technical discipline, combined with solid experience supporting finance teams through advanced analytics, system improvements, and process automation.

This role requires an individual who thrives at the intersection of data, business insight, and technology-someone who can drive analytical strategies, build scalable reporting solutions, and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making across departments.
• Manage and optimize large and complex data sets from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to understand requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.
• Identify and implement improvements in data systems, reporting processes, and workflow automation.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills for ad hoc reporting and complex financial data analysis.

You'll be/have:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in Power BI-building complex dashboards and working with advanced visuals and data models.
• Strong proficiency in SQL-writing optimized queries, stored procedures, and managing relational databases.
• Demonstrated success in improving systems and business processes through data-driven initiatives.
• Prior experience in or strong understanding of a finance or accounting environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, VBA and complex formula logic.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
