We are seeking an experienced SAP Datasphere Consultant to join a major finance transformation programme at a leading organisation. This is a high-impact, business-facing role, supporting Finance, FP&A, and Commercial Finance teams in driving data modernization, advanced analytics, and process improvements.
What you'll do
- Operate as part of the wider Financial Systems & Change team, collaborating with Finance and IT.
- Lead the migration from SAP BW/BW4HANA to SAP Datasphere, including semantic onboarding and remodeling of data flows.
- Build and maintain analytic models, SAC stories, planning dashboards, and financial reports.
- Support FP&A and finance teams with predictive forecasting, reporting, and data-driven insights.
- Serve as a business-facing Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP Datasphere, BW, SAC, and finance systems.
- Oversee system administration, SAC access, segregation of duties, and SAP GRC/MDG compliance.
- Participate in data governance, master data management, and metadata initiatives.
- Provide first-line testing, training, and documentation for finance users.
- Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and optimize system performance.
- Support monthly financial close and ensure reconciliations are accurate.
- Collaborate on system enhancements, WRICEFs, integrations, and future cloud platform initiatives (SAP BTP).
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, SAC, BW/BW4HANA, S4HANA, and finance system conversions.
- Strong finance, FP&A, and reporting process knowledge.
- Experience in data modeling, dashboards, SAC planning, and analytics applications.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools (R, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Experience delivering projects in Agile environments and managing competing priorities.
- Knowledge of process mapping tools (Microsoft Visio, Lean IX, I-Server/Orbus) desirable.
