System Accountant
A leading London-based social care provider is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to take ownership of their Unit4 ERP system at a pivotal stage of transformation.
With Unit4 going live in April 2026, this role will play a critical part in final-stage implementation and then transition into the ongoing system lead post go-live. This is a high-visibility role bridging Finance and IT within a values-led, mission-driven organisation.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Accounting & Reporting, you will:
- Support final implementation of Unit4 ERP modules
- Lead data migration validation and UAT support
- Deliver user training and embed system best practice
- Become the internal SME and primary contact for Unit4
- Own system performance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Develop reporting dashboards to enhance financial insight
- Strengthen controls and optimise finance processes
- Drive continuous system and reporting improvements
This is an opportunity to move beyond BAU finance and take genuine ownership of a business-critical ERP platform.
Candidate Profile
We are looking to speak with candidates who have:
- Proven experience supporting or administering Unit4
- Experience in ERP implementation or system upgrades
- Strong financial accounting knowledge and part-qualified accountant
- Experience with data migration and UAT
- Housing, social care, public sector or not-for-profit background is highly desirable
