Vendor Analyst

Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Vendor Analyst to join a fast growing technology business based in Central London on an initial 6-month contract.

This role will focus on cleaning up and strengthening vendor master data processes, ensuring accuracy, control, and scalability as the business continues to grow. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and be comfortable working independently to bring structure and clarity to existing processes.

Role:

Vendor Master Data Clean-Up

• Review and cleanse existing vendor master data, identifying and resolving errors, inconsistencies, and duplicate records.
• Conduct detailed analysis to ensure data integrity across systems.
• Implement controls to prevent recurrence of duplication and data inaccuracies.

Process Documentation & Standardisation

• Design, document, and implement a standardised vendor onboarding process.
• Establish clear governance, approval workflows, and data validation controls.
• Produce clear process documentation and guidance for internal stakeholders.

Vendor Setup & Business Support

• Support the setup of new vendors required by the business.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure required documentation and compliance checks are completed.
• Ensure vendor data is accurately captured and maintained within relevant systems.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk within vendor data management.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to drive best practice.

You'll be/have:

• Previous experience in an Analyst role, ideally across master data
• Experience cleansing and maintaining master data (vendor/supplier data)
• Strong data analysis skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to document processes clearly and implement structured workflows.
• Strong Excel skills (data manipulation, reconciliation, validation).
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
