Senior Finance Systems Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Finance Systems Analyst to join a highly regarded law firm in a newly created role. This is a pivotal role within the Finance team, offering the chance to influence finance systems strategy, lead key transformation projects, and gain valuable leadership experience through the management and mentoring of a direct report.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, as the Senior Finance Systems Analyst role you will be responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of finance and practice management systems. You will drive system enhancements, improve reporting capabilities, and support the transition from legacy reporting solutions to a modern analytics platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of the finance systems strategy and roadmap.
  • Managing, maintaining, and enhancing finance and related business applications.
  • Acting as the key liaison between Finance, IT, and external vendors.
  • Gathering business requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions.
  • Leading system upgrades, testing, training, and user adoption initiatives.
  • Developing and supporting operational, management, regulatory, and financial reporting solutions.
  • Maintaining data integrity, governance, and security controls.
  • Mentoring and developing a Finance Systems Administrator.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, reporting, and user experience.

About You

To be successful in this Senior Finance Systems Analyst role, you will have:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a Finance Systems support role.
  • Experience supporting Aderant, Elite, or similar Practice Management Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting processes, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience working with SSRS and finance reporting solutions.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
