Engagement Manager – Digital

In this unique position you will play an integral role in driving the successful delivery of projects within our digital connectivity programme shaping the future of digital connectivity in North Wales. The role will give you the opportunity to collaborate and build strong relationships with public and private stakeholders to enable effective deployment of digital infrastructure in North Wales.

As Engagement Manager at Ambition North Wales, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the engagement activities for project within the programme ensuring outreach and collaboration.
  • Promoting and facilitating participation in available grant schemes.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Working with colleagues and external partners to identify and promote opportunities that maximise community and economic benefit
  • Monitoring and reporting on engagement activities and stakeholder feedback
  • Supporting access agreements by liaising with local authorities and property owners to encourage adoption to facilitate the deployment of mobile and advanced wireless networks,

At Ambition North Wales, we are looking for an Engagement Manager who has the following:

  • Degree/postgraduate in a relevant field (or equivalent);
  • Experience of leading engagement activities;
  • Proven track record of building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Experience of delivering and promoting grant schemes;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Good knowledge, understanding or experience of the sector and the challenges/opportunities within the sector in North Wales;
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Understanding of financial management practices;
  • Ability to manage conflict, overcome objections and excellent negotiating and influencing skills;
  • Ability to produce high quality work while working to a tight timetable.

The team have adopted a hybrid working model with a mix of Llandudno Junction office based and home working. In return, you will receive a salary of £41,771 - £44,075 per annum plus membership of the local government pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement. This is a full-time role with Ambition North Wales; however, we will consider flexible working requests for the right person. This is a contract until March 2028.
