Role Title: MRO Repair Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MRO Repair Design Engineer (Structures & Dispositions) with strong expertise in repair engineering, dispositioning, and methods planning for aerospace components.
The candidate will be responsible for analyzing damages, developing repair solutions, and creating method plans using OEM manuals, engineering data, and industry standards to support Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze damaged components (metallic and composite structures) and provide repair dispositions in line with engineering requirements.
• Develop and document repair solutions and method plans (step-by-step work instructions) to support shop floor execution.
• Review and interpret engineering documents such as SRMs, drawings, CMMs, repair schemes, and similar repair data to define appropriate actions (repair/replace).
• Create and validate repair procedures, including new repair development where standard data is not available.
• Ensure repair definitions are compliant with regulatory requirements and OEM/engineering standards.
• Support methods engineering activities by defining process steps, tooling requirements, and repair sequencing.
• Perform technical evaluation of repair feasibility, including structural integrity, material compatibility, and repair limits.
• Interface with design, stress, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical queries and ensure repair readiness.
• Provide design liaison support to address shop floor issues, concessions, and deviations during overhaul activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize repair processes and reduce scrap/rework.

Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 12–15 years of experience in MRO / repair engineering within aerospace domain.
• Strong experience in repair dispositioning and method planning (shop-level instructions).
• Good understanding of aircraft structural components (metallic and composites).
• Hands-on experience in working with SRMs, CMMs, engineering drawings, and repair documentation.
• Ability to interpret and apply engineering data for repair vs. replace decision-making
• Knowledge of methods engineering concepts, including process sequencing and routing.
• Experience in design liaison / MRB / concessions support environment.
• Ability to analyze damage and define repair feasibility within defined limits or beyond standard repairs.

Preferred Skills
• Experience working on nacelle or structural subsystem components.
• Exposure to repair development (non-SRM repairs) and reverse engineering scenarios.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE) and digital manufacturing tools.
• Knowledge of certification requirements (FAA/EASA) related to repair approvals.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to support shop floor/AOG situations.
