Detailed Job Description:
-We're looking for an individual to join our team based in London, Battersea area.
-They will take on end-to-end ownership of incident and problem management, ensuring reported issues are analysed and resolved within defined SLAs across POS for our Client Retail stores.
-The expectation is for the individual to prioritise revenue-impacting incidents, drive root cause identification for recurring issues, and manage the full change request process for the POS application.
- A key part of the role involves hands-on debugging and troubleshooting of issues spanning Java-based microservice backends and Swift POS clients — including log analysis, service dependency tracing, and identifying failure points across distributed systems.
-The individual will be expected to diagnose issues at the code and infrastructure level and collaborate closely with engineering teams to drive timely resolution.
-They will provide production support during releases and upgrades, and serve as a technical point of contact for POS-related queries.
-The role also requires extending support during critical business periods such as NPI, NSO/NCO, festivals, promotions, and peak seasons.
-Effective escalation and coordination with internal and external teams is essential, alongside the generation of management-level reports and statistics for research and analysis, daily handover reporting to the next working shift, and seamless coordination among shift resources to ensure continuity of operations.
-The resource will be based onsite in London Battersea office and should be flexible to be scheduled in five days anywhere between Monday to Sunday, covering 9am-6pm BST/GMT.
