Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location : Nottingham UK Hybrid
Role Type: InsideIR35 Contract
Description:
- Act as the primary Business Analyst / SME across UK energy retail and metering initiatives
- Own and drive functional analysis across key utility data domains and market processes
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define, validate, and sign off requirements
- Provide expertise on Ofgem-regulated data, industry flows, and market code compliance
- Support solution design and delivery for customer, metering, billing, settlement, and market messaging processes
- Analyze and interpret complex utility data structures and operational workflows
- Ensure business requirements align with regulatory and operational expectations
- Collaborate with delivery teams to support successful implementation outcomes
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within the UK energy utilities sector, specifically in:
- Retail supply, Metering
- Strong hands-on experience with Ofgem-regulated data and processes, including:
- Switching, Settlement, Customer data, Market codes
- Deep functional ownership experience beyond stakeholder coordination
- Strong understanding of energy utility data domains, including:
- Customer data, Meter data, Billing, Asset management, Usage and consumption, Settlement
- Market messages and industry flows
- Ability to independently operate as a senior SME / Business Analyst
- Experience with requirements definition, validation, sign-off, and/or delivery accountability
