Amtis is proud to be hiring for an AI Solutions Engineer to join a growing technology team for a client of ours based in the West Midlands offering a flexible hybrid working model.

This role is focused on developing AI solutions & applications into the business to solve real world problems & reduce manual activities across the company.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll be working across the full development lifecycle, from designing APIs and integrating AI models through to deploying scalable applications in the cloud.

You’ll be joining a team investing heavily in AI, with a clear focus on delivering real-world tools that are actively used across the business.

The Role:

We’re looking for an AI Solutions Engineer to help design and build production-ready AI applications using modern Python frameworks and LLM technologies.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be working across the full development lifecycle — from building APIs and integrating AI models through to deploying scalable applications in the cloud.

You’ll be:

• Building AI-powered applications using Python
• Developing and maintaining APIs (FastAPI or similar)
• Integrating LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, or equivalent
• Designing efficient data layers and working with relational databases
• Improving performance and scalability (e.g. caching, optimisation)
• Creating internal tools or dashboards for end users
• Deploying and managing applications in Azure
• Ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and production-ready
• Monitoring and continuously improving live applications

What we’re looking for:

• Solid commercial experience with Python
• Experience building APIs (FastAPI, Flask, Django or similar)
• Exposure to LLMs or generative AI
• Experience working with databases and data modelling
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• An understanding of building scalable, secure applications
